Nutrition

Your nutritional in take is a key component of the program. This is something we all need to continually work on and stay focused with. Jessica believes in clean eating and staying away from processed foods and sugars. It is important to focus on the value of the nutrients you are in taking not just your calorie consumption.

What does it mean, “clean eating”? This is a new term that has starting hitting the market but not everyone understands what this means. Clean eating is essentially staying away from processed foods and focusing on eating fresh raw foods. Jessica believes clean eating incorporates chemical free eating. Start looking at the ingredients of what you are eating. The nutritional label is important but most people focus just on the calorie count along with the fat, carbohydrate and protein content. The first place you want to look on a package should be the ingredients, if there are ingredients in the package you can’t pronounce the likelihood you should be eating it is slim. Once you have glanced at the ingredients then look at the nutrition label to see the calorie count along with the amount of fats, carbohydrates, sugars and proteins. With all this information you can make a much more educated decision on whether the product is good for your diet and the goals you want to attain.

As cliché as it is to say, it is true, “you are what you eat”. Many ailments can be improved by simply changing your diet! It is important to get back to nature when it comes to eating, our society has veered away from what nature had originally intended. If you eat donuts, french fries and hamburgers everyday and finish that off with a bowl of ice cream your body getting nothing to fuel itself properly and over time it will break down. It is critical to give the body the right fuel to help heal and repair it from things it comes into contact with on a daily basis!

When in doubt eat fresh!

We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit  ~Aristotle
