Strength training is a key component to any healthy lifestyle. It is a critical part to keeping your body strong and lean. As they body ages it automatically looses muscle making the resting metabolic rate decrease allowing the body to store more fat. There are so many benefits to your health that strength training provides, developing strong bones, control your weight, boost your stamina and sharpen your focus.

Strength training will benefit you heart, improve your balance, strengthen your bones, and help you to loose access body fat. Once you start strength training you will feel better, have more energy, sleep better and overall feel more confident. Sounds like the fountain of youth doesn’t it?? Well it is! Studies have shown that people who strength train on a regular routine can prevent diseases such as type 2 diabetes and other ailments such as arthritis.

 

Strength training doesn’t have to be limited to machines and going to a gym. There are all different ways to strength train. Such as using resistant bands, dumbbells, and your own body weight. The idea of strength training is to add resistance to a given movement to allow your body to become stronger. Staying consistent is the key so find a routine that is realistic for you and your lifestyle. Hiring a personal trainer to get started is always a good idea as you can learn proper form and technique, get on a routine and push your comfort levels.
