Do You Really Know What Your Skin Care Products contain?
The average adult uses 9 skin care products everyday, this is equivalent to 126 synthetic chemicals you are exposing yourself to everyday! Many of the synthetic chemicals used in the skin care industry today have not been tested for safety and we do not know the long term effects of these chemicals. Meanwhile there is very little regulations placed on manufactures to test their skin care products and ingredients used in their skin care products. So what are you putting on your skin?
The EWG (Environmental Working Group) did a study in 2007 of 15,000 cosmetics and other skin care products. Their researches found that 22% of all products may be contaminated with 1,4-dioxane (a known animal carcinogen). Studies have shown that this chemical readily penetrates the skin. Their analysis shows that 1,4-dioxane may be present in 57% of all baby soaps, and 34% of all body lotions.
When it comes to impurities in our skin care products we are only hitting the tip of the iceberg. The EWG also discovered that 1 in 5 adults are potentially exposed EVERY DAY to all of the top seven carcinogenic impurities common in skin care products.
To avoid chemical exposure use truly natural skin care products. You must start education yourself on what chemicals to avoid in your skin care products. At BTrue Naturals we have sought out to find and bring natural skin care products to the market that are safe and effective. We have done the research for you. All the skin care products we carry have the ingredients posted so you can read through them and make sure they are what you want.
One of my absolute favorite skin care products is Juice Beauty's Green Apple Peel for Sensitive skin. You can be assured that there are no toxins in this product!
